The most fun day in this year!!!

On Friday the 1st of March there held an athletics day it was scary at first but then I got the use of it. So we were in groups so there was senior boy's and senior girl's that were in groups as well. So the other groups were yr 7/8 girls witch me and my sister were in and there was also yr 7/8 boys, then yr 9/10 girls, then yr 9/10 boy's and yr 11/12 girls and yr 11/12 boys. The yr thirteens would always race the staff that was there. Ok, where were we ah yes so when we got put into groups we went off to our events that we had to get to.so first me{Vallerie} and my sister {Agcym} went to our event which was the rugby pass. A rugby pass is a sort of game so it's actually really simple really all you have to do is just to pass the ball through the hula hoop. Our next event that we had to go to was shot put I pretended that I was Valerie Adams because my name is Vallerie but not Adams, well I came second in the shot putt. Well, I'm too lazy to talk about the other events so let's just skip all the way to the part where we race. So we had to do the 100m sprint and at first, I was a bit scared and really excited at the same time. So I tried my best and I did succeed I did what my dad told me just relax and RUN!!! So I did and I came 1st I was so happy and then I went to my parents and they were proud of me too. Then our next event was the 200m race I was in the middle of everybody and I still took my dad's word and I just ran. And then that day ended with the yr 13's and staff's race it was really fun for me because the teacher got frashed by the yr 13's.
So that was our fun and hilarious day.

It's fun to work out.

On Monday's and Wednesday's Me {Vallerie} and my sister {Agcym} all ways go for 5 laps around the park and our house it's really tiring, my dad {Ian} is a very sporty and competitive guy. But he told us that he is not just training us every day to win every game, he's doing it because we want to play all the sport's that we can do so he's doing it because he loves us and he never wants us to give up really easily.
So this is Monday's and Wednesday's to do things after school.

Kite Making.

On Friday the 15th February 2019. This man named Tony Rice came to our college and taught us how to make a kite. But before he told us how to do it. He told us a bit about his self he said that he was from Australia after he told us about himself he gave use paper shaped kites and then he told us to colour it in however you wanted. While we were colouring our teacher Tony Rice gave us two sticks to connect to the back of the kite so that it can fly we sellotape it and then there should be a hole in the middle top of the kite. Then you go toTony Rice and you get your long long long piece of string and a piece of cardboard. Then once you get the cardboard and the string there should be a metal ring hole to put the string in. Once you find that hole you put the string through it and make a knot or a double knot, then when you finish tying the knot or double knot then you get the scissors gently and then cut a little strip of cardboard and that will be where you put your string so it doesn't unroll. Then you get your kite and your string and put it in the little hole that is in your kite, then once it is in your kite you have to do a loop on the string then you bring the string back out and then you have to tie it up to the yellow string. Then there you have it your new and improved, beautiful kite.

My first commemoration day ever.

It was a very cloudy day on Monday it was a bit cold too. So it was the 11th of March, there was a Commemoration day. It was my first time in a Commemoration day ever it was very exciting for me and some other people.

So at first, we sat down we had to stay quiet for a few minutes while we were quiet we all saw and heard Whaea Destine and Whaea Maharata did the Karanga to welcome the people in  to our school so when the e's did the Karanga and the people came in to the school they went to sit at the front of all of us.

1 thing I have enjoyed about the ceremony... I enjoyed watching the captain's put the Reese on the wooden stand's I actually enjoyed watching the whole thing it was amazing to be there.

1 thing I learned about in the ceremony...I learned to never go to war or if I go to war I will fight for my country.
